I’ve discovered since my first collection, Be a Teller of Tales, that I work better with themes.  For me, the theme is the unifying thread, leading me through the labyrinth of possible choices, which keeps me on my chosen path. In my poetry books, the theme takes the place the plot would hold in a novel.
